Welcome to Leanyer Outside Hours School Care (OSHC) program! We provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for students before and after school. Our program offers a variety of activities, including arts, sports, and homework support, ensuring every child has a positive experience.

Program Overview

At Leanyer OSHC, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students before and after school, where they can relax, play, and learn in a supervised setting.

Our program is designed to complement the school day by offering a balanced mix of structured activities and free time, allowing children to unwind and enjoy their time outside of school hours. From creative arts and crafts to outdoor play and group games, each day brings new opportunities for fun and learning. We strive to create an inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and part of a community.

What we Offer

Our OSHC program is designed to cater to the diverse needs of children before and after school. We provide a range of activities and services that promote creativity, physical activity, social skills, and relaxation, all within a safe and supportive environment.

    We offer a wide variety of age-appropriate activities to keep children entertained and engaged. From arts and crafts, indoor games, and sports to imaginative play and group challenges, there’s something for every interest. Our program changes weekly to ensure that every day offers new and exciting experiences.
  2. Before and After School Care
    Our OSHC program is available both in the mornings before school and in the afternoons after school. Children are welcomed in a relaxed, supervised environment where they can enjoy breakfast or afternoon tea, play games, or complete their homework in a calm setting.
  3. Homework Support
    For children who wish to work on school assignments, we offer a quiet space with staff support to assist with homework. Our goal is to make after-school time productive, while also allowing for breaks and playtime.
  4. Nutritious Meals
    We understand the importance of healthy nutrition, so our program includes nutritious snacks during both morning and afternoon sessions. We aim to provide balanced options to fuel children’s energy levels for the day ahead or after school activities.
  5. Vacation Care
    During school holidays, we offer Vacation Care, where children can participate in fun, themed activities, excursions, and day trips. This provides an extended opportunity for kids to stay engaged in a safe environment while school is out.

Fees and Payment Information:

Fees and Payment Information:

  • Bond Fee: A $110 bond fee is required at the time of enrolment. This bond is fully refundable when your child leaves the program, provided there are no outstanding fees.
  • Advance Payment: In addition to the bond fee, two weeks’ advance payment for care is required before your child can begin attending our OSHC program. This payment helps ensure continuity of care and secures your child’s place in the program.

How to Enrol:

  1. Complete the Enrolment Form: Download and fill out the enrolment form. Ensure that all required fields are filled in accurately, especially emergency contact and medical details.
  2. Submit the Form: Return the completed form to the OSHC office along with a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunisations.
  3. Confirm Your Spot: Once your enrolment form is received and processed, you will receive a confirmation email or phone call, and your child’s spot will be secured.

Operating Hours

Our OSHC program offers flexible care options to accommodate the needs of families and children. Please see below for our operating hours:

Before School Care

  • Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM
    Start the day right with our Before School Care, where children can enjoy a light breakfast and engage in quiet activities before school begins.

After School Care

  • Monday to Friday: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
    After school, children are welcome to join us for fun activities, snacks, and supervised playtime in a safe and relaxed environment.

Preschool After School Care (Wednesdays)

  • Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM
    On Wednesdays, we provide After School Care for preschool children from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM, offering them the same great care and activities as our regular program.

Vacation Care

  • Monday to Friday (during school holidays): 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM
    Our Vacation Care program runs during school holidays, offering extended hours for families who need care throughout the day. Activities are designed to be engaging and exciting for children, with special events and excursions.

Important Note:
When making bookings for Vacation Care, please be mindful of your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) eligibility to ensure your hours align with your family’s CCS entitlements.

Catering

Before School Care

  • Light Breakfast: To start the day, we offer a light breakfast for children attending Before School Care. Our breakfast menu includes options such as toast, cereal, yoghurt and milk or water, giving children a nutritious start to their busy day.

After School Care

  • Afternoon Tea: After school, children enjoy a healthy afternoon tea. We provide a variety of wholesome snacks including fresh fruit, sandwiches, crackers, and other nutritious options to help refuel kids for their after-school activities and play.

Vacation Care

  • Morning Tea & Afternoon Tea: During Vacation Care, we offer both morning and afternoon tea to ensure that children are well nourished throughout the day. Our menus include fruits, sandwiches, crackers, and other healthy snacks, all designed in line with the Healthy Eating Guidelines.

We take care to ensure that our menus support a balanced diet and that we cater to a variety of tastes and dietary requirements. If your child has any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences, please ensure these are noted on the enrolment form so we can make the necessary accommodations.

Water: Fresh water is always available for children throughout the day, keeping them hydrated and refreshed.

Vacation Care Program

Our Vacation Care program provides a safe and fun environment for children during the school holidays. The program runs from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, offering a full day of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, themed days, and special excursions. We focus on providing a mix of structured activities and free play to give children both creative and physical outlets during their break from school.

Key Features of Our Vacation Care Program:

  • Exciting Activities: Each day features a range of fun and educational activities, including themed days, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
  • Excursions: We organise trips and outings during the holidays to add an extra layer of excitement to the program. Past excursions have included visits to Leanyer water park, cinema, indoor play areas, museums, and ice skating.
  • Healthy Snacks: As with our regular OSHC program, we ensure that all meals and snacks are healthy and follow the Healthy Eating Guidelines. Morning tea and afternoon tea are provided daily, ensuring children stay nourished and energised. Lunch will need to be provided by families.
  • Flexible Bookings: Families can book their children for individual days or the full vacation period, depending on their needs.

If your child has any specific dietary needs, please let us know at the time of booking, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
