Student Led Conferences – 29 July 2025
Dear Families
On Monday, 29 July, we warmly invite you to take part in your child’s learning journey by attending our Student Led Conferences. This is a special opportunity for students to showcase their achievements and collaborate with their families to set future learning goals.
What is Student Led Conferences? During these conferences, your child will take the lead in guiding you through their work, sharing what they have learned, and reflecting on their progress.
Roles During the Conference:
Student:
- Takes responsibility for leading the discussion
- Presents their work and guides the conference experience
Parent/Carer:
- Listens actively and engages in conversation about achievements and goals
- Asks thoughtful questions to support learning and identify next steps
- Offers praise and encouragement
- Maintains awareness of other families also participating nearby
Teacher:
- Facilitates only when necessary to support student leadership
- Oversees up to three conferences occurring simultaneously
Booking Details Appointments are 15 minutes long and must be booked in advance.
To make a booking online:
- Go to Leanyer School web page https://leanyerschool.nt.edu.au
- Scroll to the bottom and click on the Booked logo
- Use the Booked Link to ‘Login’ – a new password can be requested at this stage
- Use parent login details and pick an available time slot
